Une fois termin\u00e9, v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 et qualifi\u00e9, la pi\u00e8ce de 36 tonnes a \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9e par route jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 Oberwald.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Rappelons que ce passage \u00e0 niveau est unique puisqu&#8217;il est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&#8217;une cr\u00e9maill\u00e8re r\u00e9tractable. En effet, la cr\u00e9maill\u00e8re Abt est r\u00e9tract\u00e9e de telle fa\u00e7on que ses dents ne d\u00e9passent pas le niveau de la chauss\u00e9e de la Furka afin de ne pas g\u00e8ner la circulation des voitures et des motos. Lorsque la barri\u00e8re se ferme pour le passage du train, alors la cr\u00e9maill\u00e8re se met en position haute pour permettre \u00e0 la locomotive un engr\u00e8nement continu sur la pente. Une fois le que train a franchi la route, la cr\u00e9maill\u00e8re se r\u00e9tracte sous le niveau de la chauss\u00e9e et les barri\u00e8res se rel\u00e8vent.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Oberwald, level crossing with retractable cog<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the night May 6th\/7th 2010, the level crossing was installed across the Furka road at Oberwald. So now the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) is able to reach the final station of the line after quite 30 years of work! The level crossing was built and assembled at Baumgartner AG, M\u00fcnchenbuchsee near Bern. When it was finished, verified and qualified, the 36 tons part was moved on a truck to Oberwald.<\/p>\n<p>This level crossing is really unique because it is made up with a retractable cog. The Abt cog is retracted so its teeth are under the level of the Furka road so that the cars and bikes can cross the level crossing. When the level crossing gate is closed, the cog is raised above the road so the train can have a continuous cog on the slope. Il ne reste plus qu&#8217;\u00e0 terminer l&#8217;embranchement menant \u00e0 la plaque tournante qui permet de tourner les locomotive de 180\u00b0.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At Oberwald, now the DFB railroad is going to the MGB station.
