The Saint-Gotthard pass (G) was a big North-South communication path between Zurich and Milan. Now this pass is not very used because under the mountain there are two tunnels, the first one for the train (dig at the end of the XIXth century) and the second one is an highway. Note that since 1997 a third tunnel is still under construction, the AlpTransit with a 50km length! The Furka pass is the natural border between the Rhone and the Reuss Valley and also between the Valais and Uri cantons.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Un peu de g\u00e9ographie<\/strong><br \/>\nLa Furka (F) fait partie du massif du Saint-Gotthard situ\u00e9 au centre de la Suisse. Le col du saint-Gotthard (G) \u00e9tait un grand axe de communication Nord-Sud entre Z\u00fcrich et Milan. Aujourd&#8217;hui le col n&#8217;est plus utilis\u00e9 que par les touristes car sous la montagne ont \u00e9t\u00e9 creus\u00e9s deux tunnels, le premier ferroviaire (perc\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin du XIXe si\u00e8cle) et le second autoroutier. A noter que depuis 1997 est en train d&#8217;\u00eatre creus\u00e9 un troisi\u00e8me tunnel plus \u00e0 l&#8217;est (ferroviaire avec ferroutage) l&#8217;AlpTransit long de plus de 50km! La Furka est comme un bouchon naturel entre la haute vall\u00e9e du Rh\u00f4ne et la vall\u00e9e de la Reuss et donc entre le Valais et le canton d&#8217;Uri.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure
